Corpora: German newspaper corpora 17th to 20th century

Dear all!

I'm doing research on morphological language change in German. My aim is
to analyse newspapers from 1600 up to 2000.
Does anyone have experience with building up a similar corpus and can
give me some advice how to choose the texts to get comparable data? Or
can you tell me where to find further information?
Do you know about any electronic corpus of German newspapers of the 17th
up to the 1950s available?
