	Exciting Opportunities in Natural Language Engineering
                     for Language Engineers at 3F Ltd

         Based in the beautiful Cathedral City of Durham, England

                     All Levels of Experience Required

We are currently seeking several individuals to help us develop our core
natural language understanding system. The work will be technically
challenging and will cover all aspects of the project life cycle, with
opportunities to learn new skills in a field which will be of key
importance in the next few years.

Language engineers with a good industrial/academic applied research
profile and preferably a programming background are needed.

Applicants should possess a 1st or high 2.1 Honours Degree in Computer
Science, joint Honours with Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence or
Computational Linguistics. Experience in most areas of NLE is of
interest.

More senior applicants should also possess either a Language Engineering

Masters Degree or a relevant PhD, and/or several years industrial
experience.

Programming ability (especially C++) and experience in large scale NL
projects would be a strong advantage, and it is a definite requirement
for the team leader positions.

It is essential that applicants should be able to work in close knit
teams, achieve strict deadlines, show great enthusiasm and commitment
to the project and the company, be self motivated and very flexible.

Experience in one of the following areas would also be useful: Visual
C++, MFC, STL, Java, Windows 95/98/NT, COM, DCOM, XML.
