The lexica for (at least) English and French shipped with Unitex
(http://www-igm.univ-mlv.fr/~unitex/) encode such features like

+Hum     - human being
+Anl     - animal
+Conc    - concretum
+Abst    - abstractum
+Unit    - unit of measure
+HumColl, +AnlColl, ... - collective
... and some more

e.g.:

gangs,gang.N+HumColl:p
