[Corpora-List] corpus of essays in English

Hi everybody!

I wonder if anyone could help. I need to find a corpus of academic
(preferably American) English which contains native speakers'
(students') essays.

I would also find helpful frequencies of word categories extracted
from this kind of corpus if these are available.
