[Corpora-List] Knolicules

Hi all,
I'm not sure whether this discussion is relevant to the Corpora list. One possible reason could concern corpus development. Wikipedia is a good resource, because it is huge, multilingual and available for download, so, to take one example, I can get 400 MW of its German texts, extract terms and find possible links to 150 MW of its Arabic texts, thus producing a reasonable quality German-Arabic dictionary. At the moment I don't see any interface for retrieving knol to use it in linguistic research (apart from the fact that it's blissfully monolingual at the moment). Or am I wrong?
Serge

Kev,

It's impossible to tell how much things will change after
the initial wrinkles are ironed out in the beta testing,
but off-the-cuff I would venture these observations:

Overall, it's a return to modes of working that have longtemps worked well:

1. Lead author takes ultimate responsibility for the content of articles.
2. Pluralism about perspectives instead of pseudo-neutrality (WP:NPOV).
3. Voluntary collaboration, not forced labor toward pseudo-consensus.
4. Respect for the sources of knowledge in experience and training.
5. Quarter given to creative, falsifiable, and risky hypotheses,
along with allowances for synthetic reasoning, instead of
rigid fixation on monolithic, naive objectivism (WP:NOR).

Those appear to be the most salient philosophical diffs --
I'll remark on the more obvious practical diffs later on.

Jon
