FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS: **DEADLINE: 31 MARCH**

 

The First University of Nottingham Ningbo, China (UNNC) Postgraduate Conference in Applied Linguistics.

UNNC will host its First Postgraduate Applied Linguistics Conference on the 26th and 27th of June 2009. Organized by the Division of English Studies/Centre for Research in Applied Linguistics, the conference aims at providing a platform for postgraduate students to present their applied linguistics research work for review and feedback from peers and experts in a friendly, supportive and intellectually stimulating environment. With the participation of leading Chinese and British academics, conference participants will also have the opportunity to hear experts discuss their past and current projects.

 

Presentations, from postgraduate students who have not yet been awarded a Ph.D., can focus on any applied linguistic topic. Applications from MA students will also be considered. Abstracts written in English of max 300 words (with bibliographical references) for a 20-minute paper should be sent by 31 March 2009 to palco at nottingham.edu.cn The preferred file formats are .doc and .PDF. 

 

Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by 15 April 2009.
