 Post-doc and Research Associate Positions at Carnegie Mellon
University-Qatar

A post-doc position and a research associate position are available at
Carnegie Mellon University-Qatar for two  3-year projects funded by Qatar
National Research Fund.  Applicants will work with Kemal Oflazer, Behrang
Mohit at CMU-Qatar and Stephan Vogel at the CMU-Pittsburgh on the
following two projects:

1. "Learning from Comparable Corpora for Improved English-Arabic
Statistical Machine Translation". (Co-PIs: Stephan Vogel and Kemal Oflazer)

2. Expanding Arabic Wikipedia by Statistical Machine Translation. (PI:
Behrang Mohit)

The postdoc position requires a PhD degree in Computer Science or relevant
fields. The Research Associate position requires a Masters degree in
Computer
Science or relevant fields.

Both positions requires background and expertise in multilingual
processing. Expertise in Statistical Machine Translation is strongly
desired.

The positions offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and
background, foreign service allowance, excellent  health care coverage  and
allowances for housing and transportation.
