*Assistant Professorship in Statistical Natural Language Processing at the
University of Amsterdam*

The Language and Computation group in the Institute for Logic, Language and
Computation (ILLC) at the University of Amsterdam has a job opening for an
Assistant Professorship in Statistical Natural Language Processing for 2
years, starting in fall 2010. The Language and Computation group is headed
by Rens Bod (http://staff.science.uva.nl/~rens/) and Khalil Sima'an (
http://staff.science.uva.nl/~simaan/) and consists of six staff, seven
postdoctoral researchers and a dozen of PhD students (
http://www.illc.uva.nl/Research/research06b.php).

The suitable candidate should have a proven research record and strong
affinity (experience is a plus) with teaching at the Bachelor and Master
levels.

Depending on qualifications and experience, the gross monthly salary will
range from €3,195 to €4,394 based on a full-time appointment (38 hours a
week). Additional benefits include an 8% holiday allowance and 8%
end-of-year bonus.
