[Corpora-List] Job: NLP R&D at Health on the Net (HON) Foundation, Geneva

[HON Job]

​The Health On the Net (HON)      Foundation, a Geneva-based non-governmental international    organization dedicated to improving the quality of on-line health    information for patients as well as health professionals, is looking    for an NLP expert. We are looking for somebody who combines an    interest in NLP research with good programming skills. 

Key responsibilities:

    - Participating in (EU) research projects, writing deliverables and    scientific articles, attending project meetings, giving    presentations, mapping out the research agenda
    - Design and development of innovative techniques for improving    search quality on text and multimedia formats – document    classification, (multi-lingual) IR, automatic readability assessment    and detection of ethical criteria in non-structured health web    documents
    - Building fully scalable prototypes to test new algorithms and    migrating from research prototype to production

Desired experience and skills:    
    - Post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Computational      Linguistics, or strong experience
      - Background in information retrieval, document classification, or      question answering
      - Strong experience in scripting languages (preferably Perl)
      - Experience in web applications
        - Good command of English, other languages are a plus
