EVALITA 2011 - Second Call for Participation
September 2011

We invite participation, both from academic institutions and
industrial organizations, in eleven tasks, all for Italian.

We are pleased to announce that both the training data and the
detailed guidelines for all tasks are available.

Text tasks
- Parsing
- Domain Adaptation
- Named Entity Recognition on Transcribed Broadcast News
- Cross-document Coreference Resolution of Named Person Entities
- Anaphora Resolution
- Super Sense Tagging
- Frame Labeling over Italian Texts
- Lemmatisation

Speech tasks
- Automatic Speech Recognition - Large Vocabulary Transcription
- Forced Alignment on Spontaneous Speech
- Voice Applications on Mobile - Student Contest

The results of the evaluation will be disseminated at the final
workshop which will be organized in conjunction with the next
AISV Conference in Rome (http://aisv2012.fisica.unina.it/index.php),
on January 24-25 2012.
Final reports describing the participating systems will appear in
the workshop electronic working notes.

The EVALITA 2011 proceedings will be published by Springer in
the LNCS subseries of the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence
(LNAI) after the workshop.

- 4th October 2011: test data available, registration closes
- 14th October 2011: system results due to organizers
- 28th October 2011: assessment returned to participants
- 24th November 2011: technical reports due to organizers
- 24th-25th January 2012: final workshop in Rome
