[Corpora-List] Job announcement: PhD or Post-Doc in Corpus Linguistics

The Chair of Translation Studies (English) at the Institute of Applied
Linguistics, Translation and Interpreting at Universität des Saarlandes
(Saarbrücken, Germany) offers a half-time researcher position
(fixed-term 2,5 Years) in the DFG-funded project ‘English-German
contrasts in cohesion - Towards an empirically-based comparison’, with a
particular focus on the written-spoken dimension. Information on the

The position is open for a PhD student or a Postdoc researcher. Main
tasks include: expansion of the existing architecture of an
English-German corpus. The successful candidate is expected to have
relevant computational expertise, experience in statistical evaluation
of data and in methods of lexical and semantic analysis. Prerequisites
are a relevant masters/ diploma degree or a PhD in a relevant discipline
and experience in corpus-based methods. A good command of German and
English is mandatory.

The salary is according to the German TV-L system (level 13). The
position is for 2,5 years, starting on 15th November or as soon as
possible thereafter.
