[Corpora-List] LinC summer school registration and bursary opportunity

Hello fellow Sysflingers,

Registration is now open for the 3rd LinC Summer School to be held in Cardiff Sept. 8-10, 2014 - http://www.cardiff.ac.uk/encap/linc/

We are also very pleased to announce a Bursary Opportunity 

A full bursary covering fees, transport, food and accommodation (to a maximum of fees + £1,000) is available for the LinC Summer School 2014 for participants without institutional funding. 
Those eligible for the funding should send a CV and covering letter, stating how their work relates to SFL; how much funding is being sought; how this money will be used. Please email your application: linc-network at cf.ac.uk.

The call for the poster session is still open. The deadline is May 1 2014 (see website for details).

Reasonably priced accommodation is available for booking via the accommodation office at the university. Please note that accommodation must be arranged with the university accommodation services directly but we have made the booking form and details available from our website (http://www.cardiff.ac.uk/encap/linc/)

The goal of the summer school is to offer research and training in both understanding the Systemic Functional Linguistic theory of language and applying it to real-world challenges. 
The summer school will run two parallel courses: 
Introduction to Systemic Functional Linguistics 
Corpus Linguistics 
Both are suitable for professionals, students, and researchers who have an interest in learning more about Systemic Functional Linguistics and/or corpus linguistics and its applications. 

Instructors: Susan Hunston, Gill Francis, Geoff Thompson, Mick O’Donnell, Robin Fawcett, Stella Neumann, Serge Sharoff, Ben Clarke, Tom Bartlett, Gerard O’Grady, Lise Fontaine
