*Open position for a researcher interested in natural language
understanding at KU Leuven, Belgium*

We are looking for a researcher to strengthen the Language Intelligence and
Information Retrieval group (www.cs.kuleuven.be/~liir) in the Computer
Science department of KU Leuven (Human Computer Interaction section) who
has a strong interest in processing medical texts. The position is foreseen
for 12 months with the possibility of extension.

The candidate will work on a research project on natural language
understanding (granted under the EU FP7 Future and Emerging Technologies
call)  and more specifically the work relates to the automated
understanding of patient guidelines.

The candidate is holder of a PhD or master degree, has experience in
natural language processing and has excellent programming skills. The
position will be filled as soon as possible and preferably September 1,
2014 the latest.
