Hi,
I am very pleased that such an initiative has been taken. I would be very
interested in participating in this project.
I am a doctoral student of lingusistics at Arizona State University. I am
interested in the representation of racial/ethnic/religious minorities in US
media with focus on Arabs and Muslims. So, I'm really interested in how the
Sept. 11th attacks and subsequent events have been portrayed in the media
(both US and non-US).
Please, count me in and keep me posted.
Best regards, Lutfi.

Besides helping each other in our research process, it is quite possible to get publish an international anthology on the subject in the long run. Please also let us hear about the literature already published on coverage on Islam in your respective countries and the scholars you might know, who are engaged in the field but perhaps are inaccessible through this list-serv.
