from reading some of the introductions here, it seems there are a few of us
on discours-l involved in researching cmc-related discourse and patterns of
interaction.
i am currently co-moderating the list cyberculture, and i think that if any
of you would like to discuss your work or findings in this area, your input
would be most welcome.
the list itself is relatively new, about a month older than discours-l, and
at the moment has about 170 subscribers. its sister list, cybermind, has
been in operation for several years and has already spawned several studies
and conferences on the development of community online. discussion at the
moment seems centred around issues of politics and commercialisation of the
net, but other aspects related to the actual medium of interaction i see as
a necessary adjunct to any understanding of these issues.
if you think you might like to participate in discussion, or find another
avenue for research, information on subscribing to the list can be found
below.
