Asking question about the word "separatism"

My perspective is not exactly CDA's, but, if the evolution in the use of the words is similar to the Spanish correlates, I suppose that there was a derogatory first use by some politicians/journalists, relating it close to violence, and after that, the opposite politicians/journalists try to enhance the aceptation of their opinions calling to a more fuzzy feeeling of freedom, such as self-determination, and so on. Violence, in this new discourse was only a non-desired consequence of outer causes
Sorry for my nasty English (now below zero), and best regards,

Asunto: Asking question about the word "separatism"
Dear friends,
I want to ask you about the words 'separatist' or 'separatism' or 'separation movement'. What do you think about those words? Is there any 'ideological meaning' in those words?
