Dear colleagues,
We're looking for adjuncts to fill the following graduate classes for Spring 2006:

l. The second language classroom/Adult; Monday, 6:45-9:15.
Practical class including lesson & unit plans and simulations on how to teach second/foreign languages to adult and higher ed populations, students have taken an intro to theory class as a pre-requisite. Instructor must be able to teach about embedding language practice within cognitively challenging integrated thematic units.
2. Structure of American English, Wednesday, 6:45-8:25
Sentence level and discourse level grammar in English, pedagogical grammars, grammar as it relates to genre, plus how to differentiate instruction for teaching grammar to distinct populations.
3. Technologically enhanced foreign/second language teaching & learning
Explore the possibilities of using computers to support second/foreign language acquisition. Teach diverse grad students with a range of familiarity with technology.
4. Second Language Research (advanced) Tuesday 4:55-6:35
Teach state of the art in SLA Research including all major paradigms (experimental, quasi-experimental, descriptive, ethnographic; qualitative and quantitative data analysis).
