Salary

£32,277 to £36,309 per annum (pro rata if part time).



The College is seeking an outstanding academic to be appointed as a Lecturer in Arabic on a Teaching and Research career pathway in the Department of Languages, Translation and Communication in the College of Arts and Humanities.



This post requires a contribution to teaching and supervision in Arabic language, translation and interpreting, and

culture, both at undergraduate and postgraduate (MA and PHD) level, but also across the College where required, in addition to sharing organisational and academic administrative responsibilities.



This post provides a role for a candidate with research and academic potential and interest in a field or fields of relevance to Arabic language, translation and interpreting, and/or applied linguistics.



The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to teaching practical Arabic language modules, and must have native or very near native competence in Arabic and English.
