[Edling] Recommendations for readings requested

Dear Friends,

A colleague would like to read "something solid" on the differences between
childhood and adult language acquisition, with an emphasis on what is
internalized without metacognitive instruction- by children as compared
with acquisition with metacognitive instruction for adults. Any ideas of a
book or article come to mind?

Much appreciation for the suggestions.
