About the Job
The Minnesota English Language Program (MELP) in the College of Continuing
and Professional Studies (CCAPS) is seeking applicants for a full-time
Teaching Specialist position beginning fall semester 2023. This is a 100%
time, 9-month, annually renewable Professional and Administrative
appointment that reports to the Executive Director of College
Pathways.* Priority
deadline for applications is July 31, 2023.*

The Minnesota English Language Program (MELP) is part of the University of
Minnesota and has three components: 1) ESL credit classes, 2) a non-credit
Intensive English Program, and 3) English language training programs for
special groups. Professional teaching faculty and advanced graduate
students provide language instruction, academic support, and cultural
orientation to students who plan to study at universities or colleges in
the U.S. or who want to improve their English for personal or professional
reasons. In addition to teaching English, the program seeks to introduce
students to academic and community life. The program is committed to
developing a team-based culture in which administrators work closely with
office staff, professional teachers, and teachers-in-training. Work for a
