[Edling] CLA Collective updates/invitation

Hello all,

I thought I would take a moment to provide a brief update on the CLA Collective, a (free) resource hub and online community of practice for writing/language teachers interested in linguistic justice and Critical Language Awareness (CLA) pedagogies.


  *   Our group has been gathering online for more than 3 years now, and 43 of those gatherings have been recorded and are available here.<https://cla.middcreate.net/news-and-events/>  🖥️

  *   We migrated from an email list to a Google Group<https://cla.middcreate.net/join/>, so that members can communicate with one another. We currently have more than 300 people in the group—mostly from North America, but we have members from all over the world.  (In case you’re leery of being on another listserv, this one is fairly quiet, and mostly used to publicize events, CFPs, free resources, etc. 😉)

  *   We’ve formed “leadership groups” so that the Collective elevates more voices and provides opportunities for professional growth and recognition. 🌟

  *   We’re floating the idea of having small gatherings in our local communities this summer and/or next year, and I’m hoping to make it to some of those, if they come to fruition. 💕
