The _Handbook of African Languages_ series published by Oxford University
Press for International African Institute in the 1950's has some data, much
estimated, some from older sources (some back to the 1920's and earlier).

I have copies of:
Tucker, A.N. & M.A. Bryan. _THE NON-BANTU LANGUAGE OF NORTH-EASTERN AFRICA_
Part III of Handbook of African Languages [HAL], 1956
Basset, Andr=E9. La langue berb=E8re (1969)

Westeermann, Diedrich & M.A. Bryan. _Languages of West Africa_. HAL (1970)

Tucker, A.N. & M.A. Bryan. _LINGUISTIC SURVEY OF THE NORTHERN BANTU
BORDERLAND_ Vol. four HAL (1957)
