possibly it was meant that one doesn't have to have evidence to
launch an
investigation, in which it can be documeted.
But there is a greater point here. I may not be able to on every
count get
or have the time to get the photographic documentation of the step by
step
conversations and deceptions that the Chinese Baptists use to get a
village
seperated from its culture, but I know damn well what they are doing.
This is the whole problem with the scientific method in the first
place and
those who trust it.
Look where it has got us in the world, the scientists telling us that
long as
we don't have a study, the stuff must be safe but a moron would know
that it
is only about the money line and that they know that all the studies
take a
long time to catch up.
It doesn't take a moron to tell you that if you are dumping 7 million
liters
of paraquat in Thailand every year that the earth is going to be
messed up
and a few people too. But do you need evidence? I don't think so.
That is
just a delaying tactic.
I was in a village the other day, there were some missionaries
there. The
evidence went like this. " I know what you are doing, you know what
you are
doing, and you aren't going to do it here." Period.
About real important things we either don't need or don't use
evidence. I
don't need evidence of what can be going wrong for my daughter on a
date, or
what is going wrong, but the kid who picked her up don't need
evidence of
what I got in the closet nor my willingness to use it.
