We aren't exactly mainstreaming here on this list with
Sanscrit issues.. One brief note only.

You are absolutely right of course. I tried to look at the
phonetic value and possibly tie it to the vocalized z. The
/r/ part of this "ri" is supposed to sound like the /rs/ in
'arse' plus i, in other words close to the sh-sound that, if
vocalized, would become a vocalized z... Let's walk off with
this discussion from this list here. If you'd like to make
any further comment I suggest we continue in private.. OK?
