Dirk,
I can very well imagine that these two gentlemen wrote that. That is their
opinion. Nothing else.
In 1970 their was a large international symposium about the Goths in Stockholm.
Every lead ended in Gotland. Every reply was once again "a dead end". It
was not at that time allowed to be Gotland. Gotlandic history was at that
time nonexistant at Swedish universities.
A friend of mine was the secretary of that symposium.
After the latest excavations in Poland and the book "Schätze der Ostgoten".
He said that it was probably time to have a new look.
