Have now arrived at the last of the for literary-historical-
geographical names.

Danparstadir = "homesteads on the Don" is one of the four
names that show possibly that Reidhgotaland denoted
Ukraine, especially of course the land
of the Poljane in the ninth century, between the Donec
and the Dniepr.

The name Danpr (=Danpar) as an eponym occurs with
Danr in Rigsthula:

"Have Danr and Danpr
a dwelling richer,
and lands larger,
than are left to thee;
and they skilled in steering
on stormy seas,
in trying swords,
and slaying heroes."

Instead of "a stodum Danpar" there is also
the combined placename Danparstadir/
Dampstadhir.

Also from Hervararsaga concerning
Reidhgotaland:

"Arheimar, some [people] call it
Ernar district; in those days the
capital of Reidhgotaland was located
there."
