Eighth Gothic War 271 AD

Emperor Aurelianus moves into Dacia to attack Kniva
and his army. In the Battle on the River Alt the Goths are
that year defeated and Kniva is killed. He is succeeded
by Ararich, who concludes a three year peace treaty with
Aurelianus.
