We have short comments in:

Mamartinus, Panegyricus Maximiamo (II:5, III:7), 287AD
Ammianus Marcellinus XX 1/4
Hieronimus (Epistolae, 123), 409AD
Hydatius, Cronica, 455 and 459AD
Sidonius Appolinaris (VIII, IX), 478AD

These and most other sources about the Heruls are quoted in Pal
Lakatos' "Quellenbuch zur Geschichte der Heruler", 1978.
