Your discussion of Ermanaric and his kingdom is
interesting but you come to the conclusion
that he was a "powerful Gothic king, ruler of
an important complex of peoples".
It would be interesting if you went further
and discussed the reasons that you think
the Regnum Ostrogotorum under Ermanaric
in the north did not reach the Baltic Sea.
One reason for the possible inclusion of
south Scandinavia is according to RLK
the name similaraties on the Sparloesa
stone (Erik and Alrik), the Tjodrik of the
Roekstone and Goetrik, Hjaprik, Heidrek
and Hredrik (Roerik) with the names of
Gothic rulers: Theoderik, Alarik, Roderik, Atala-
rik, Erarik, Eurik etc.
