Wall it may be helpfull in a way, but it can be very misleading.Becuse
of that way of splliting we have had linguists thinking that the isoglosses
shared by Greek and Indo-Iranian were survivals of an older order, now the
contacts between early Greek language speakers and those of early
Indo-Iranian are becoming clearer and some of those shared traits are
thought to be common inovations.
