The absence of amber in Gothic deposits doesn't mean they weren't involved in the trade. Their location puts them in a good position to act as middle men in transactions between the Baltic and Black Seas. I'm comfortable that they were at least involved in the trade even if they didn't dominate it. I'm much less sure about the Goths pre-Christian monotheism, but I'm a little behind in reading; maybe you've already corrected that too.

The goths are famous for burying their dead without weapons, that
would mean they didn't have any weapons at all, if we follow your
