This becomes a series evidently!

Today it is the Christian substitute for our old summersacrifice. We
celebrate tonight Valborgsmäss-Walpurgismess with hughe fires and
singing. The proper time is however at full moon around the  5th of
may within an 8-year cycle. This year it is  full moon   wednesday 2
may and hence  that is the time for the real sacrifice.That day Balðr
and Frejr (earlier UllR and Ingr)are reborn for a new summer season.We
celebrate that also, a little belatedly  because of the Christian
influence, at the summer soltice in june but we still dance round a
Maypole!! May the gods bless you all!
