Hi Roel,
yes agreed. My suggestion doesn't work out. In fact it doesn't even work in German, where such descriptions are used only in certain circumstances. I would follow Edmund's suggestions regarding toponyms. I think for names, which 4th century Goths could not have known this is not a problem.
