[gothic-l] Re: Translating creeds?

For month names, let's at first stick to the Latinate ones; they are listed in reconstructed names on the page I linked (which I skimmed rather than read).
 

 Now. Though Gothic was probably spoken differently in different countries, we are trying to speak the Gothic used in Wulfila's translation, the Skeireins, and other texts. We can't use English with Gothic words, because that's not the type of Gothic we're trying to use. We're using the attested form. It wouldn't be wise to speak German by using English with German words. I don't want to be rude, but I'm saying we need to agree upon idioms and expressions, and be faithful to the Gothic as we have it. This goes for everybody.
