Advanced Study of Khmer (ASK)
Royal University of Phnom Penh
June 29- July 25, 2003
This program is an intensive four-week course in Khmer language and is made
available to students and other interested people at the intermediate level
or above. Application must be (1) US citizens or permanent residents and (2)
university juniors, seniors or graduate students; teachers or education
administrators. Fellowships covering round trip airfare, tuition, and living
expenses are available to applicants who qualify. It is a "one-of-a-kind"
opportunity to acquire the linguistic foundation necessary to engage in
academic research, professional discourse, cultural interaction with all
segments of Cambodian society, and experimental living in Cambodia.
The Advanced Study of Khmer Language (ASK) is sponsored by the Center for
Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) at the University of Hawai'i (UH).
