Full professor position in Paris

The University Paris Diderot is looking for candidates for a full
professor position in Syntax and its interfaces.
The candidate should have experience in teaching and research in
theoretical and empirical syntax.
S/he should have expertise in contemporary syntactic theories and
will be responsible for a research program studying the
interfaces of syntax with other grammar components such as the
lexicon, morphology, semantics or discourse/dialogue. An interest
in cross-linguistic variation would be a plus.
The candidate is expected to join the Laboratoire de linguistique
formelle (http://www.llf.cnrs.fr) and to participate in the
laboratoire d'excellence Empirical foundations of
Linguistics (http://www.labex-efl.org/).
S/he will teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Linguistics
department (http://www.linguist.univ-paris-diderot.fr) as well as in the
PhD
Program (http://www.linguist.univ-paris-diderot.fr/ed.html).
A working knowledge of French is expected.
This is a permanent life-time position with a civil servant status.
Salary will be in accordance with the French state regulated public
service salary scale.
Candidates must be certified as qualified for a professor
position by the Conseil National des Universités. This
certification procedure (qualification au corps PR), for which a
habilitation (or equivalent qualification) is a prerequisite, requires
registration before
October 24th, 2013
on the Antares site of the French Ministry for Higher Education at
https://www.galaxie.enseignementsup-recherche.gouv.fr/ensup/candidats.html.
Subsequently, the candidate will be requested to submit some
documents (a CV, degree certificates. and publications) before
the end of December, and will be notified that (s)he is qualified
by early spring. The qualification is valid for 5 years and is a
prerequisite to apply for any permanent academic position in a
French university. The certification process is not strictly
obligatory for candidates presently holding a tenured full
professor position, who may be authorized to apply on a case by
case basis by the University's scientific board. The position at
Paris Diderot will start on September 1st 2014 and the local
website for applications to this specific position will be open
in spring 2014.
