Dear all,

We are pleased to share the Call for Abstracts for an edited volume titled "Language and Food: Macro, Meso and Micro Analysis of Food Discourse", edited by Takako Kawabata (SOAS University of London) and Daniela Cesiri (Ca' Foscari University of Venice).

The volume brings together interdisciplinary perspectives on how language and food intersect as semiotic and social practices, examining how food-related discourse produces, circulates and transforms meaning and value across contexts. Contributions are invited that analyse food discourse at the micro, meso and/or macro levels, and may be empirical and/or theoretical in orientation.

Key Dates:
- Abstract submission deadline: May 1, 2026
- Notification of acceptance: June 1, 2026
- Full chapter submission deadline: December 1, 2026
