ipod recording

Hi,
Haven't tried this myself, but Mp3's are not generally a good format for
sound
recordings for language work because they are compressed. It is not so much
about
archiving, as about making sure that the recordings are truly accurate
representations
of the sound(s) of the language. Guess it depends on what the planned use
for the recordings is...
My two cents...other opinions??
