Miguel,
I don't know if you noticed that in the first of these two web pages, the
Aragonese-Castilian dictionary mentions Ar. MUGA - Cast. LIMITE.  This is
unmistakably pure Basque! So, a Basque origin for CHANDRO wouldn't be
improbable at all.
