Calculating MLU with CLAN

I accidentally sent that to the list, sorry about that! But I don't
think there was anything that I didn't want anyone else to read, perhaps
someone else can provide a reference for MLU in words or argue the pros
and cons - I'm sure someone else will weigh in!
