                              Resumen:

    This volume contains 18 papers selected from the 7th Hispanic
Linguistics Symposium, which was held at the University of New Mexico on
October 16-18, 2003. The papers are organized into sections on (1)
Portuguese, (2) language contact, (3) sociolinguistic and variationist
studies, (4) psycholinguistics and corpus analysis, (5) syntax and
morphology, and (6) historical linguistics. The complete table of

    This volume has been published by Cascadilla Proceedings Project, a
new imprint created by Cascadilla Press. Proceedings from Cascadilla
