Keynote speaker in Linguistics to be announced

On behalf of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, the 
Graduate Student Symposium Committee invites the submission of 
abstracts, panel proposals, and workshop proposals for its 
Symposium. Contributions may be in Portuguese, Spanish, or 
English, and can be situated within any subfield of the culture and 
literature, and linguistics areas.

Deadline for submissions of abstracts: February 1st, 2007
Notification of acceptance: Second week of March, 2007

The fee will be $25 for graduate students and $40 for faculty if 
paid by February 1.
The fee will be $35 for graduate students and $50 for faculty if 
paid after February 1.

Please submit the abstract/proposals to: 
symposium_sppo at osu.edu

Submission Policy:
Individual presentations should not be longer than 20 minutes in 
duration (that is 7-9 pages double-spaced). Abstracts and 
proposals must be at most one page long, double-spaced, with 
one-inch margins and 12-point font. An optional second page is 
permitted for data and references. They may be submitted 
in .pdf, .ps, .doc, or .rtf attachments. Submissions are anonymous. 
The body of the e-mail should contain the following information: 
title of the paper, panel or workshop, area of specialization, name, 
postal address, e-mail, and affiliation of the author(s).
