Description:

Assistant Professor of Spanish, with specialty in Second Language
Acquisition or Applied Linguistics, tenure track. Ph.D. in Spanish (or
equivalent) required by time of appointment.

Duties include the coordination of the lower division Spanish Language
Program, the mentoring of GTAs, and the instruction of the GTA
Teaching Practicum. Other teaching responsibilities include
undergraduate and graduate courses in SLA, Spanish linguistics, and
second language teaching methods.

The teaching assignment is four courses per year. Proven record of
excellence in teaching and scholarship required.

Applications must be postmarked by November 7, 2008, to be considered
for MLA interviews.
