ABSTRACT
Anxiety of speaking any foreign la sh language speaking anxiety andits associate factors among the colleges Govt. Girls Degree College Moro andGovt. Mehran Degree College Moro’s students who learn English as a secondlanguage. The participants were 41 intermediate (21 male and 20 female)students studying English as a compulsory subject. A set of questionnaireadopted from Studies of Woodrow (2006) based on five points liker scale wasdistributed to collect the data. The data were analyzed using SPSS. The focus was also given to the speech performanceof the students that affected due to anxiety, included all the situations inwhich they feel anxious. The studyindicates that the students experience a moderate anxiety inside the classroomwhich debilitate their performance. More significant is that the femalestudents feel more anxiety than the male students in the classroom in oralpresentation or participation in conversation in English as a second language.KEYWORDS: Englishlanguage anxiety, inside the classroom, College level students, gender
