Mike,
I have heard anglophones use "surprized" in the sense you are looking for,
like "I am surprized that you did this" expressing a reproach or criticism.
I think St. Paul uses this in Greek in the epistle to the "Galatians" which
is translated into English by "surprized". But Paul was upset and
deeply frustrated by the fact that the Galatians had returned to
legalism after having heard the message of "grace."

I'm looking for a synonym for 'amazed' but it needs to have strong
negative connotations. With 'amazed' I think of "wow, that's
impressive". I need a word that continues to carry the idea of 'wow' or
'significant surprise' but has coupled with it the concepts of 'anger'
and possibly a 'deep frustration'
I'll tell you why in a little bit; but first I'd like some help if at
all possible.
Thanks.
