[Lexicog] prototypical dogs

Many cultures in Southeast Asia eat dogs and they are considered a delicacy.
The people who eat them are considered normal, as there is nothing unusual
about eating dog meat. The only pressure on this practice is from
international circles. I would say that here also, the prototypical dog is a
mongrel, medium-sized, who is kept around living areas for protection but
not necessarily seen as pets.
