[Lexicog] Using old dictionaries

Swahili dictionaries have benefited from the original dictionaries made by
non-Africans as the base on which to build and enrich newer versions. Krapf
and Rebmann and Sacleux' dictionaries served the language well from 1844 and
1902 respectively until 1930 when Frederick Johnson produced a trilogy of
Swahili-Swahili, Swahili-English and English-Swahili dictionaries. Johnson's
dictionaries were in vogue until 1981 when a revised Swahili-Swahili
dictionary was published by the Institute of Kiswahili Research of The
University of Dar es Salaam, followed by English-Swahili dictionary in 1998
and Swahili-English Dictionary in 2003. The Swahili-Swahili and
English-Swahili have undergone further revisions.
