Presentation

In the last issue we offered you a monograph on sociolinguistic studies
sponsored in the main by the directorates general for linguistic policy in
Catalonia and other areas. Continuing in the same vein, with the publication
of NOVES SL Spring 2003, we offer you a monograph focusing on institutional
and academically orientated sociolinguistics -especially surveys and
questionnaires on use and knowledge- which seeks to complete what was begun
in the previous issue.
