Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Linguistics with a specialization in
French Sociolinguistics; native or near native fluency in spoken and
written French. Additional Qualifications Desired: three years experience
teaching in the sub-disciplines such as bilingualism and language contact,
ethnicity and language attitudes and French vernaculars; demonstrated
ability to conduct fieldwork in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast.

Responsibilities: teaches undergraduate and graduate linguistics and
French courses; position will be 50% teaching - 50% research, in addition
to thesis and dissertation supervision; displays an active and on-going
research program.

issues. Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Anticipated hire date is August 20, 2007. An offer of employment is
