The delegates to the Third Symposium on National Culture enter this
Tuesday on the second day of the event, specially focusing on the themes
"The construction of the Nation", "Language, Culture and Memory",
"Culture, Economy and Development". Besides those themes are also included
the "Languages of culture", "Culture and religion", "Culture and
education" and "Culture, Media and Information". These communications are
part of the 12 panels elaborated by the organisation of the symposium that
will occur until next Saturday, at the Congresses Hall, here.

At the opening of the event, the country's Head of State, Jos Eduardo dos
Santos, stressed that the cultural policy of Angola and its strategy "are
sufficiently clear and cover all the fields of the cultural life of the
country". The Angolan statesman referred that this policy suggests
concrete initiatives for the cultural development, the foment of the
artistic creation and the preservation of our collective memory.
